Caleb has been an attorney with the firm since September 2019, and previously worked at our firm as a law clerk while still in law school.
Caleb’s litigation practice consists of matters throughout Central and North Alabama in the areas of divorce, post-divorce, Protection from Abuse (PFA), child custody, child support, child dependency, and adoption. Caleb also represents clients in matters involving prenuptial agreements, postnuptial agreements, wills, and other estate matters. In addition, Caleb assists partner Charles Dunn with Charles’ appellate practice and he assists partner Rick Fernambucq in writing and editing Family Law in Alabama: Practice and Procedure.
A 2019 cum laude graduate of Samford University’s Cumberland School of Law, Caleb served as the Editor in Chief of Volume 42 of the American Journal of Trial Advocacy during his third year of law school. As an attorney, Caleb continues to pursue writing and editing by writing articles focused on family and matrimonial law. He has been published by the Birmingham Bar Bulletin and The Alabama Lawyer. He is also a frequent lecturer on family and domestic law topics for Continuing Legal Education seminars.
Prior to law school, Caleb graduated from Hartselle High School in Hartselle, Alabama, and then graduated cum laude from the University of Alabama with a degree in finance and a specialization in real estate.
Caleb is active in local bar association activities and organizations, as he is a member of the Birmingham Bar Association, the Shelby County Bar Association, the Entertainment, and Family Law Committees of the Birmingham Bar Association, and the Executive Board of the Young Lawyers Section of the Birmingham Bar Association. In addition, Caleb is a member of Class 13 of the Birmingham Bar Association’s Future Leaders Forum.
Caleb is also involved in the Birmingham community, serving as a junior board member of a Team Ministries and as the Chairman of Cumberland School of Law’s Family Law Practice Group, assisting law students interested in practicing domestic law.
Caleb and his wife Sarah are members of Covenant Presbyterian Church in Homewood. In his free time, Caleb enjoys hunting, fishing, boating, watching Alabama football, and spending time with his family.
